hack.rva wants you
hack.RVA wants YOU... to take out the trash!
At hack.RVA's new location we have 6 "Tall Kitchen Bag" trash cans in the front and middle areas and 2 "Rubbermaid Brute" trash cans in the Shop. Taking out the trash is every members responsibility. hack.RVA doesn't have any paid staff. This is part of how we maintain and keep our membership prices affordable for our community. Cleaning up after yourself and leaving things cleaner than you found them helps us all maintain an enjoyable ready to use workspace.
Please ensure that you keep all food waste in the front trash can next to the water fountain.
The 6 Tall Kitchen Bag locations are as follow.
- Main Room at the water fountain
- First Bathroom
- Second Bathroom
- Middle Room against the Glass wall next to the Resin Printer
- Middle Room next to the Light Octopus Desk
- Middle Room next to the Laser Cutter PC
The 2 Contractor bags are located here:
- In the Wood Shop in front of the Dust Collection Unit
- In the Wood Shop under the Miter Saw table
Taking Out The Trash
The Tall Kitchen Bags are located in the First bathroom. You can easily take out all Tall Kitchen Bag trash at hack.rva in 10 minutes or so.
- Get 4 Tall Kitchen Trash Bags from the front bathroom.
- Starting with the trashcan in the bathroom and working your way back to the trashcan at the laser cutter computer take out each bag and replace it with a new one. Empty bags do not need to be replaced.
- When complete, take all the bags to the back door in the shop.
- Ensure you have your badge.
- The trash goes into the can in the middle. ONLY THE CAN IN THE MIDDLE belongs to hack.rva. Currently it has an Orange rectangle on it.
The Contractor Bags are located in the Wood Shop in the Tan Cabinet beside the Roll Up door on the bottom shelf.
- Please remember when to break down the scraps to less than 1 foot long.
- Please remember to take out the trash before it gets too heavy.
- Ensure you have your badge.
