The equipment is obsolete and no longer made at Lincoln Electric Co.
Safety:
- Wear safety gear when welding… it can burn your skin and/or your eyes.
- Don’t wear flammable clothing… polyester, silk, etc
- Ground your work piece!!
- Only load and unload wire when the machine is OFF.
- If you have a Pacemaker, don’t use the welder… best practice.
- DO NOT weld on closed containers or anything pressurized
ANSI Standard Z49.1 covers welding and cutting safety extensively
General:
- 17V, 70A output… this can kill you (ratings: 35A-88A and 29V max)
- Wire speed (while welding) 0-300 in/min
- Cut the wire on the end to around ½ “ before starting welding
- Ground your work piece
- Keep about 3/8 “between the tip and the work piece when welding
Wire:
- up to 2lb spool
- flux core
- made for carbon and low-alloy steel (mild steel not to exceed 1/8” thick)
- recommended wire, 0.035” diameter Lincoln Innershield NR-211-MP (again, only 2 lbs)
