The Vive is a Virtual Reality System powered by Steam VR setup at the front desk computer. In order to use the HTC Vive you will need to become familiar with a few main components.

  • 2 base stations - These are already mounted on the ceiling and just need to be plugged in to use.
  • Link Box - The Link box sits on top of the Digital Design Station and is there 3-in-1 cable connects the VIVE VR Headset to the Link Box.
  • VIVE VR Headset - This is where the magic happens. There are alcohol wipes onsite to clean the face cushion. The 3-in-1 cable that comes out of the headset connects to the Link Box.
  • 2 wireless controllers - These are USB rechargeable so it's probably a good idea to start recharging these an hour or so prior to your planned gameplay. Each one requires a micro-usb cable and charger.
  • 3-in-1 cable - This is the cable that is affixed to the VIVE VR Headset and connects it to the Link Box which is connected to the Digital Design Station.
