Users are responsible for the cost of setting off the safety measures - which is around $100 depending on what blade is on it. Anything conductive will trigger the brake, including green wood, wet wood, foil covered material, etc. TO test your material, turn on the main power switch and let the saw initialize. Then the power light is steady, but the blade is not spinning, you can touch the blade and the see the sensor light above the power switch light. Try it with you material.
