Safety

Follow the Formlabs safety and resin handling guidelines. Resin is a skin irritant and toxic if ingested. Always wear gloves whenever handling resin and wash thoroughly with soap and water if contact occurs.

Procedure for operating the Form 1+ printer

1. Ready your design files in PreForm (help guide located here). For ApplyLabWork Modeling Gray resin select “Grey V4 (FLGPR04)” as the material.

2. Shake resin well and refill vat to maximum fill line. Do not overfill. Larger prints may require that the resin tank is refilled during the print. With the printer paused, open the cover, and slowly add more resin to reach the maximum fill line.

3. Check the resin tank for debris or damage following the instructions on the Form website.

4. Send your file to the printer from PreForm and press the Form 1+ button to confirm print.

5. After the print is complete remove the build platform and place it face up in the tray. Be careful not to drip excess resin in or around the printer.

6. Carefully remove the print with a scraper and clean off excess resin with a paper towel.

7. Wash the print in a plastic lidded container with 95% IPA for a maximum of 5 minutes then gently shake/blow off any excess IPA and let dry completely. Repeat step 3 to check the resin tank for damage after the print.

8. Place clean, dry print in UV oven for 2+ hours to fully cure.
